Chris has over fourteen year’s project development experience in the renewables industry. His career for over 25 years revolved around energy intensive industries first in the manufacturing field and then bringing his experience from that competitive sector to the renewables market. Most recently Chris founded the Indonesia Division of UPC Renewables in Jakarta, Indonesia as the VP of Development. The expansion into Indonesia allowed UPC to lead the wind industry there with the first utility scale wind project in that country. That team is now expanding a large wind development effort along with utility scale solar and island grid wind solar battery hybrid projects.

Previously Chris was a Development Manager with First Wind and Community Energy Inc. With CEI he led the development of over 1000MW of Greenfield projects. The effort with First Wind was to managed and executed First Wind’s prospecting and development activities in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Prior to his renewables experience Mr. Caffyn founded and owned businesses that processed waste to energy and supplied large industrial capital equipment projects to the metal working industry. Chris will now lead the UPC effort to Develop Solar, Wind and Energy Storage projects in the US and North America.
